Bio
I’m a seasoned product leader having earned my stripes leading product teams at Intuit and Mitchell International. I thrive on helping teams build great products, and providing immediate, practical guidance and support for product leaders, teams and founders.
Today, I lead Product Rebels, a product consulting organization built on methodology we developed in-house and turned into our book: Groundwork.
We started Product Rebels because we saw a need for durable product training. Too many times when we were product executives, we'd send product managers to training and they were enthusiastic and engaged for the following 2-3 weeks, and then got swallowed up by the demands of the day-day business, and the training faded away. We wanted training to last: to have the opportunity to use the new tools, have everyone speaking the same language – and most important, employ a consistent customer-driven approach every day, in every decision.
I co-founded Ad Astra, an accelerator that worked to transform female founders into authentic leaders that get funded. We recognized a need to dramatically change the landscape for female entrepreneurs – so we developed a unique framework and curriculum to address implicit/unconscious bias. Our goal is to GET TO EVEN: when female founders represent half the startups that get funded and there are an equal number of female investors. I love working with early stage companies, and leverage the Product Rebels curriculum as part of our broader bootcamp and venture builder programs.
I hold 9 US patents for software and have a B.S. in Physics from Victoria University in Wellington, New Zealand, as well as a Masters from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Additionally, I am a certified Net Promoter Associate.
